Babies needed!

I am looking for babies that will be between two to three weeks old in September. If you or someone you know is due soon, please EMAIL me at jilldaughertyphotography@yahoo.com expressing your interest. I will forward you an application and details. Sessions will take place during the week between the hours of 9AM and 2PM. I am going to guide you through the daunting task of figuring out how your camera works so you can start documenting your family the way you always wanted.

Photography 101 will introduce you to key concepts such as shutter speed, focus, metering, ISO, exposure and so much more! You will be able to understand what lighting situations require what types of settings and the shortcuts your camera has built in to get to those settings. The best thing about this?? You won't be doing this alone! You will have time during each class to experiment with the concepts taught that day and ask me questions as they come to you! Not only will you have these four classes to ask questions and learn, you will also be added to a facebook group to share what you are learning with everyone and to ask me questions even after the class is over.

If you are ready to do this, then here are the details:

Where will the class be meeting? All The Buzz Salon Spa & Boutique in Germantown, IL

What time will we be meeting? Starting September 9th and meeting Sundays until the 30th from 1pm-3pm

What do I need to bring? DSLR camera and any lenses you have.

What if I cannot make it one week? That is ok! Each week any presentation slides will be added to the facebook group and you will be able to meet with me before or stay after class the following week to ask me any questions you had from the material the week before.

Mommy and Me Time!

    Fun story, a while ago, my daughter had her best friend over. I have been watching these two grow up since they were babies. My daughter's friend wasn't feeling great so I sat downstairs with them while we waited for the Tylenol to kick in. My daughter was already sleeping, and as I watched her friend's eyes get heavier and heavier, I couldn't help but think how big they have gotten. Next year they are both going to be the fifth grade and turning eleven. The tween sass is kicking in but it is still mixed with 'Mommy please tuck me in', big hugs and kisses. I know it will be a blink and she will be graduating 8th grade. So as I sat there in the dim light waiting for her friend to fall asleep, I started to cry. I am so proud of the young ladies these girls are turning into. So as the tears rolled down my cheek, I knew how lucky I am to have these precious memories. (Yes... I am a big sappy mess sometimes...) 

    Being a mom is God's greatest gift. The only job in the world that is as thankless as it is rewarding. It doesn't matter how many times, I feel like a failure, these four little monkeys that call me mom are the best work I have ever done. They may not always mind their manners or get straight A's but they are my squishy, lovable, frustrating, hilarious messes and I wouldn't want to spend a minute of my life without them.
